Information We Collect
To fulfil your order, we collect certain information necessary to process and deliver your purchase, such as your name, email address, postal address, and the details of the product you are ordering. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe or PayPal and we do not store your payment card details. You may also provide us with additional personal information if you contact us directly or submit artwork via our Airtable form.
When you use our artwork template tool, your name and email address are collected and stored in Airtable to allow us to match your template submission to your order.
If you apply to become a trade partner, we collect additional information through our Print Partner Application form via Airtable, including your business name, website URL, the platforms you sell on, and your intended selling markets.
If you sign up to our mailing list, we collect your email address for the purpose of sending you marketing communications.
Why We Need Your Information and How We Use It
We rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
- As needed to provide our services, such as when we use your information to fulfil your order, match your artwork submission to your order, settle disputes, or provide customer support.
- When you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up to our mailing list or providing optional consent on our artwork submission form.
- If necessary to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases as required by HMRC or tax law.
- As necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interests, where those interests are not overridden by your rights, such as providing and improving our services, and processing trade partner applications.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about our customers is important to our business. We share your personal information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Shopify. Our store is hosted on Shopify. We share information with Shopify as necessary to process your order and provide our services. Shopify's Network Intelligence features use data from your interactions with our store as part of their cross-merchant platform network, which powers platform-wide services. This processing is governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.
- Airtable. Artwork submissions, template tool submissions, and trade partner applications are all processed through Airtable. Only the information you provide in each form is held.
- Apple. We use Apple iCloud Mail to manage customer-facing email at hello@terrionprintstudio.com. Emails you send to us are received and stored through Apple's iCloud Mail service. Apple is a US-based company and its services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google. We use Google Analytics to understand how customers use our website. Google Analytics is governed by Google's privacy policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Service providers. We share your postal address and name with our delivery carrier solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.
- Business transfers. If we sell or merge our business, we may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
- Compliance with laws. We may collect, use, retain, and share your information if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or government requests; (b) enforce our agreements, terms, and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our customers or others.
Photography and Social Media
We may share images of completed orders, including photographs of printed cases before despatch, unboxing content, and customer reviews or testimonials, on our social media channels and website.
We will only share images or content that features your order where you have given us explicit permission to do so via our artwork submission form, or where you have publicly posted the content yourself (for example, tagging us in a post or leaving a public review). We will never share your personal details alongside any images without your separate consent.
If you have given consent and later wish to withdraw it, please contact us at hello@terrionprintstudio.com and we will remove the content where it remains within our control.
Reviews and Testimonials
Customer reviews submitted via our website or shared publicly on social media may be featured on our website or social channels. We will only share reviews that are publicly visible or where you have given your permission. We do not share your name or any identifying information alongside a review without your consent.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services. We are also required to retain certain information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including HMRC requirements. We generally keep your data for 6 years from the date of your order or last interaction with us. Email addresses collected for marketing purposes are retained until you unsubscribe.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the UK
Some of the third-party services we use operate outside the UK. Shopify, which hosts our online store, stores your data within the European Union. Other services we use, including Airtable, Google, and Apple, are based in the United States, and your information may be transferred to and stored on servers in the United States. Where transfers outside the UK occur, we ensure they are made in accordance with UK GDPR requirements, including reliance on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where applicable.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information:
- Access. You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Change, restrict, delete. You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate data, restrict how we use it, or delete it. Where we are required to retain data for legal reasons we may not be able to delete it immediately.
- Object. You can object to our processing of your information based on our legitimate interests, and to receiving marketing messages after providing consent to receive them.
- Complain. If you wish to raise a concern about how we use your information, you have the right to contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
